Curriculum Updates
Reading:  We are reading and discussing Rain Reign.  Rose is trying to navigate an impending hurricane and her dog, Rain, is missing! We are working on literature circle jobs to discuss in small groups and are taking mini-comprehension assessments to give me guidance on what we need to review and investigate.

Math: We are using 2 by 2 digit multiplication to solve a case.... Who stole the marshmallows?? Students are working in pairs and small groups to support each other through the clues and computations.

Language Arts:  Students are reviewing figurative language with holiday themed sentences on paper trees.  They are also typing stories about their favorite stuffed animal.  Once these are completed, edited, and revised, they will be shared on a collaborative slide for you to read.

This week's "THUNK" question:  Is there more future or more past?

Social Studies: We completed the timeline of the westward expansion of the United States in the 1800s.  Students are using non-fiction research and their notes to create a project that will best demonstrate the knowledge and information they have gathered.
